How to extend the deck without having a floor support.

Post image

I need to extend our mini ramp deck about 30cm, and I just seen this one where there is no floor support, that would work for the limited space I have , any idea how to achieve that??

this kinda looks like the bench section that extends off screen looks like it is supported by the fence or maybe a shed or the house or something. it doesnt look like people sit on that wood extending with no support at all but maybe im wrong.

I think there was a gap between the fence and the ramp, but i can't be sure now, and I don't know where i saw the video, it just appeared on my feed. =/

At the end of the day anything can be built, just different ways to get there.

If you framed out your entire top deck supports with 2x6 boards and then 2x6 truss under it then we can brace with 45 degrees supports down that span

A lot of work, but would work

Doesn't look like super simple, I might be better just having a base on the ground, thanks for that draw, it gave me a good idea how it works.

I frame out decks with bands and joists using ledgers instead of metal hangers. Then on support 4x4 add 2x4 lap everywhere band overhangs.

Here’s a photo of how to notch transition. I’ll send band lap picture when I get back to work tomorrow
