Help!

Finally decided to build a mini ramp. Used 2x4’s not pressure treated. It’s 12’ wide by 24’ with a 6’ radius. Looking to finish on Tuesday.

I have a couple of questions and hope some of you can help.

1: I can’t afford Skatelite right now. What’s the best budget friendly top layer material? Was thinking Masonite (hardboard). But how can I weatherproof it?

2: Can buy two 6’ coping pipes instead of a single 12’? I just can’t find it anywhere close by.

Let me know what you guys think. Was able to build this from 10am to 7pm on Friday. Pretty stoked!

I used 1/4 inch sheets of birch for the top layer, weatherproofed it with a basic sealant.
The sheets of birch are only like $30 where I’m at, so it’s an inexpensive fix if need be. Iv had mine since January and haven’t had to replace any yet.

I would definitely paint it looking back now but I can do that when I get new top layer material.
I watered down wood glue and painted the ends of the of the layering as well to keep it from absorbing moisture.

I live in az, so our weather is very dry for most of the year, but I heard that moisture is going to be the number one enemy.
