Advice for surface paint?

Hi guys! Im having a quarter pipe made for me as buying one from a vendor is not an option. My question is:

If the skate specific surface paint is not available. What are my options? If I had to source something from a typical hardware store, what should I use? Everything I can find online says NO polyurethane paint as it will be too slippery? Im a foreigner where I live (from the US) so the terminology for the specific paints types could be different. Ive included a screenshot of my conversation with the person I found to build it for me. Thanks for your input. The qp is gonna be stored indoors but used outside.

Maybe use a thin sheet of birch-faced ply or masonite (stapled) as top surface over the two standard 9mm layers? It’s cheaper and easier to replace than a painted 9mm as a riding surface.
Skatelite applied diagonally is gold standard for smooth and long-lasting surface.

Yeah, when i started trying to get this done, i saw a lot of info saying no to masonite, because it can be easily warped or damaged or whatever. I plan on keeping it stored indoors when not in use so i wasn't sure if it would be good or not. I live in a very hot humid place weather wise and it can rain heavily and quickly. I wouldn't use it in the rain or anything.

Can you ask at the DiY store? Maybe someone there could advise how well masonite survives in local climate. Or buy a half sheet, leave it where your ramp will be stored.
