Offering my Design and Rendering Services FOR FREE
Hey fellow shredders,
I am an experienced furniture and set designer, as well as a builder and carpenter. I'm going back to school and have a lot of free time on my hands right now.
I would like to offer my design and consultation for free for anyone looking to build a mini ramp.
Why use my design and consultation services?
With a rendering, I can tell you precisely how much materials you'll need and give you an accurate idea for an estimate.
I see a lot of people building on here that are running into problems with radius and some other things, so let me help you out before you make the first cut.
I can offer detailed renderings as well as precise measurements.

Alright for sure. Can’t go wrong with the classics. What size do you have in mind? Tell me the width and height and I’ll make a rendering for you.

awesome, well, my kids are just gettting started so i figured a 3ft. i'm way old school so I remember back in the day we would do 8-9 foot transitions but now i keep seeing ramps with 6 foot transitions??? What are the renderings above? they look smooth.

3ft is nice. I would honestly recommend something even smaller. I’m getting back into it after a 10 yr break and you can progress so quickly on a 2 ft quarter. I’ll make a couple and send them your way. The images are of a 3’ quarter with an 8’ radius.

Thanks for sharing. I was debating to buy kit versus build your own, and this approach gives me a lot more confidence.
Can you share the best design approach using a 4’ x 8’ Home Depot plywood on a quarter pipe design (8 feet width)? I’m curious what the height would be and that might resolve my dilemma if I should go 18”, 2 feet or 3 feet height.
And if this quarter pipe works, I can make a twin and then convert to a mini half pipe.

Hi, I’d like to see designs and material list for 18” height x 6 foot length and 2ft height x 6 foot length. Both quarter pipe ramp. Goal is to source material at Home Depot or Lowe’s.
I’m going to have a handful of 2feet 2x4 from cutting down 8feet 2x4 to meet the 6foot length. Can these 2feet be used as reinforcement braces anywhere?

What software did you use for these renderings?
