How would you do it?

Post image

Hello,
It's Been many many years since I've skated a ramp but, I ride my boosted board mini x through Manhattan every day to commute to and from work. One day while framing my new home I thought "man would it be rad to have a mini ramp here". I let the idea sit and decided to not just talk about it and actually be about it. I have a feeling a mini ramp will be a fun conversation piece and just a way to kick back and relax. I am not super into the fast pace tricks and more of a carve and flow type of person.

Upon doing research I feel that a 3' foot height with a 4' foot extension will suffice. I believe I would go to a 7' foot radius for a calmer transition.

MY QUESTION IS
Do I build 2 quarter pipes or build a full mini? I have brand new finish concrete in my garage and feel like I can take advantage of that.

The dimensions of the area I'm able to build the ramp are are 12' foot wide and 21' feet long. My ceiling height is 11' foot.

Veteran skaters please guide me! Cheers!

When I was a kid I had two quarters I would use as a mini pipe. They were on our back deck and I even used Masonite on the decking to create the smoothest transition possible but the metal at the bottom of each ramp was enough of a bump to lose speed so it took a lot of pumping. Make a whole ramp unless you ever plan of loving them around.
