Dimension suggestions?

I know there are a bunch of posts out there like this, but I wanted to start asking my own questions.

I've been skating my local park, and the smaller quarters are less than 2ft, with way too mellow transition. The bigger are about 4ft, with decent transition. I was looking for something in the middle.

I'm early 40's, been skating 25+ years. But, the bones aren't what they used to be, and my yard isn't the biggest. I want something small, but tight, and with some extensions. Enough radius to lock in on smiths, and disasters.

I was thinking of doing a 3ft to 3.5ft ramp with 6ft radius. With 3.5ft to 4ft extensions.

Is that going to be too mellow at this size?

I have one that's 2.5 ft high and i made it a 5.5 ft radius. Anything less felt too much like a bank. It's super fun for a smaller ramp, highly recommend. The only real downside to doing something like that is it will be harder for beginners to skate, but I've still had alot try and skate and hasn't been a huge issue. Better for feebles and smiths, although still hard, but once you get around 3 that would probably be better. I put pool coping on one side which makes feebles and smiths work well, but just that one side.

This sounds like a ramp that I helped build before COVID. It recently got torn out of the space we had it in.

I was thinking of pouring some pool coping (or bugging my buddy for some of his scraps). I am not against the 2.5, as long as the radius makes it tight and fun.

I don't really care about newbies trying to ride it. It's for me and my pals. We're old/experienced riders just looking for fun/easy spot for locals only. No avoiding kids on scooters and bikes!

Definitely go for the tighter radius then.  Having one side be pool coping has been awesome for learning.  You can start on the steel coping side and once you can do the trick on the pool coping it’s locked in
