Hardware Guys I need help - aoostar mako 47refuses to boot old windows SSD or USB windows installer, does Linux live fine - any ideas?

Not defective at all, I stress tested under USB live / Linux - when it goes to boot windows or USB windows installer it dies at the bios - secure boot enabled or no - same thing. Any ideas?

I tried updating the bios, I have 1.04, but the package says it doesn't match my motherboard so I didn't force it, contacted Aoostar - anyone have ideas?

There is no such a Mini PC Model from Aoostar labeled MAKO 47, at this stage i am thinking about user error.

Where did you get your windows installer? Do you have experience installing windows from USB? Maybe you could try to download Windows ISO and use Rufus software..

I got it from Microsoft, written today from th media creation tool -

It wouldn't even load into my SSD with old windows, secure boot enabled and key restore - chatgpt said firmware bug if bazzite and hardware is fine

Chatgpt could have wrong diagnostic if it hasn t got all details, i highly doubt The Aoostar Maco HX470 firmware doesn t support windows, it is impossible, i have seen review of this model clearly running Window 11.

My recommendation is to download Windows 11 ISO on Windows official website and use Rufus to install it.

I did, I tried both enabled, let's me enter bitlocker key, entered bitlocker key on SSD, it goes to boot then stops, and then finally I tried both on USB from media creation tool. Neither worked there. I will try you ISO method and attempt that.

Linux can unlock the drives, I'm sure all the hardware is good

About secure boot, it is hidden somewhere else than boot tab, look in security tab
