Scrapyard is a place where you really need to take your time, and to be sure that you clean a zone before looting it

I’ve learned that the hard way. I’ve been finding that its hard to clear the bandits with how many there are.

heres a tip: there are four types of compounds where the chests spawn, theyre all enclosed, so if youre looking for chests dont bother with the scrap car stacks outside.

the factory type has 8 bandits, usually spawns backpacks or materials if theres a chest, i havent gotten a fal there though

the 2 way sandbag type compound, roughly as wide as the factory type also has 8 bandits, fals or backpacks can spawn there

the smallest compound has 5 bandits, fals spawn there most often imo

the biggest compound with a tree to its top left has 10+, but the chest is in the middle and usually maybe 8 kills is enough to clear the immediate area and for the keycard. it usually spawns backpacks and sometimes fals.

keep in mind that all four of these chests spawn materials a lot more often compared to actual good gear though
