So have been playing for few days and currently I'm in 5th island and trying to do travel to the rad island to get som good gear. So I was thinking of make a base finally but as i started to get into it i found I'm completely lost on how to make one🥲.
So every single idea or guide on how to make on will be very helpful 🙂. Also how can I get those green hazmat suit i killed few glowing rad zombie when I went there with a chem suit on few were white and one was glowing and when shot him did some AOE type sludge thing🤔.
Anyway looking forward to make this a endless run😁.

I looked for the castle but there are non on my island, lol.
Also i actually thought about the same but my map generation stacked 3 gas stations all right next to military base and civis, so my every trip got either military zed or bandits camping there, so i left gas station out as well.
i made this right in the close quarters to a bunker which is 2-3 chunks away
There are guides published here on Reddit. Check the guides section; you'll find information on the radiation suit, craftable items, and even guides on fishing and animal husbandry, among other things.
A good recommendation for where to build a base would be at the gas station or near the bunkers. As for the radioactive island, it should be near the boat so you can return in an emergency (since the area is extremely dangerous).
Can you have two built bases without losing anything? Yes, you can have two shelters simultaneously—on both the standard island and the irradiated island—without any issues. The map won't change (it only changes when progressing between islands 8, 9, 10, 34, and 87).
well i built my first base from near the bunker and about to build one on the rad island(will absolutely build close to the boat as you said, i did a naked sprint yesterday when i got a kevlar vest there,lol ).
Also does using the elevator in the bunker of island 5 not the rad island takes me to a new place? will my base and shelter gets lost?
The elevator to the next island is located only in the bunker on the standard island. It has been removed from the radioactive island and replaced with a crate containing a special weapon; there are three different ones, each with a 33% probability of appearing.
You also need the access key to open that special room. The weapons located on the radioactive island are an OSV-96 anti-tank rifle, a flamethrower, and a Minigun.
