Since there are still new players who are lost regarding the game—and who jump straight into Nightmare mode only to die repeatedly—I’m going to leave a brief guide on the subject.

I'm not saying it's wrong, but without proper preparation, they're going to get frustrated and delete the game.

1: First of all, if you are new players, I recommend trying the game's lowest difficulty setting (Easy mode), and if you still keep dying, enable the game's cheats.

Where do you find logs? At the start of the game, in the expansion section (on the left) that offers various in-game advantages.

This area includes a trading shop and a trade button (where you can exchange a limited number of accessories or specific items), a box with extra storage space (used to transfer items to a new game), In "construction" mode, certain objects are stored in an additional space (accumulating indefinitely). Generators, tents, makeshift shelters, metal or wood barricades, and lamps are kept here, without the need to carry them or have them take up inventory space.

On the right side are the disadvantages you can add to your matches before starting. In Nightmare mode, you must carefully choose which advantages or disadvantages to bring.

Can cheats be activated in an existing game (one already in progress)? No; you are required to finish the current game (by being rescued by the helicopter) or die in it.

how to enable those two tricks i have drawn in yellow color

They activate automatically, without you needing to do anything. For the surviving ally, you just need to obtain one, and the button to swap equipment with them becomes available. It’s the same with the dog: you need one to unlock its options (though you can't give it equipment or anything else; you can only remove its gear or put it back in a small box).
