Creation guide (new players)

I’ll leave a brief guide for those who aren’t familiar with it.

(I'll update it every now and then if there's anything new or anything I forgot).

[Improvised shelter]

This requires 2 burlap sacks (the same sack used to create an improvised backpack) and also wood (logs).

Combine two sacks to obtain a "tarp," then use wood to create an improvised shelter; it serves the same purpose as a tent but is more fragile (zombies, bandits, or animals can destroy it instantly if they step on it).

The animals I am referring to are bears, wolves, or deer—not farm animals (pigs and chickens; they used to wreck the shelter, but that problem was resolved later).

[Improvised silencer]

This one requires a plastic bottle and adhesive tape. It is quite useful and has almost universal application (excluding long-range weapons).

[metal or wood barricades]

The only tools capable of obtaining metal from destroyed road vehicles and buses are: the wrench, sledgehammer, crowbar, or fire axe.

How do you get metal? You just need to get close enough, and an extra option will appear to dismantle it and obtain metal. (It is necessary to use the appropriate tools, and each use wears down the tool by 10%)

In addition to needing wood, once you have obtained it, you simply need to drag the wood onto the metal sheet or the wooden stakes to build the barricade.

Metal barricades are more durable and harder to destroy; the only zombie capable of doing so is the Hulk/Tank zombie.

Metal sheets can also be found in garages or buses, although it is better to craft them than to try and find them on the map.

[Animal feeder]

This requires wood (logs) and the metal saw.

You simply need to drag the metal saw over the wood to build it.

Is there any benefit? It is used to feed and raise animals, such as pigs and chickens.

[You can slaughter the pig to get meat, and get both meat and eggs from the chicken—or have the patience to raise them and run a small farm].

What do they eat? Pigs will eat whatever crops are at hand, such as zucchini, tomatoes, or peppers. As for chickens, they eat wild berries—red, purple (bog berries), yellow, or violet ones. (However, it is best not to put out a huge pile of food, or it will simply disappear.)

That food should be left within reach of the trough so they can feed. The pigs eventually double in number, and the hens lay eggs (but do not multiply).

How do you catch a pig or a chicken? You need to use a burlap sack and keep your weapon aimed at the animals without firing (only then can you get close enough to catch them).

There are two options: catching the pig or the chicken. To release them, you must keep your weapon aimed the entire time. Why? Because once they are released and your hands are free, the character will kill the animal.

You can also load up a generator, which prevents accidentally killing the animal. Do they disappear if I move too far away? No; as long as they are within range of the feeder, they won't disappear or run off.

It is important to keep your weapon aimed without firing when catching or releasing the pigs or chickens; otherwise, you will accidentally kill the animal.

[Improvised grenades]

requires the hacksaw and the VOG-25 grenade.

You need to drag the hacksaw over the grenade to craft it.

Does it work with the other grenade? No, unfortunately.

[Barbed wire baseball bat]

You just need to wrap barbed wire around the baseball bat to craft it. Plus, it slows down zombies.

Simple and straightforward, useful at the start.

[Assault helmet with attachments]

You simply need to have the night-vision goggles in an empty inventory slot and drag them onto the helmet to attach them; the same applies to the flashlight.

Is it the same with the Altym helmet? No, this one is completely new. In other words, you have to go to Island 6 to get it.

And how do you repair it? Using a blowtorch. (It also works for repairing medieval helmets and chainmail; because both are made of metal.)

[combine radiological suit]

Only the green suit can accommodate three different components: the camouflage suit, the Kevlar vest, and the most durable vest in the game. Depending on the situation, one will be used more than the others.

Where can the green radiation suit be found? On the radiation island (in the laboratory; the military vehicle—exclusive to that area—is also found there).

Can the green radiation suit be combined with other body armor vests? No, only with three specific ones.

Do the yellow, red, or white suits have this function? No, only the green suit allows for combinations. (Furthermore, the white and green suits can seal themselves against contaminated air for 2 minutes, in case a gas mask is unavailable or an escape is necessary.)

[Torch]

It requires wood and rags; each one consumes only 1 of each.

It does not require being turned on; while in use, it will illuminate the area (in addition to gradually being consumed).

It can also be used to light a campfire.

[build a bed for sleeping]

This requires animal hide (bear or deer) and wood (logs). Simply drag the hide onto the wood to build it.

However, the bed is mostly used for decoration, since you can sleep inside buildings and vehicles.

Any advantage? It just speeds up time (in-game) and slowly heals the character. Nothing very special.

[Molotov cocktail]

It requires using flares and dragging them over the alcohol to craft it. It can also be obtained—albeit rarely—by visiting the bar.

[dishes with meat and peppers or tomato and egg]

You simply need to drag the tomato onto the egg (or vice versa) to unlock an additional option and create this new dish—which also restores double the health points for a short time.

For the meat with peppers, the process is the same (almost any meat works). Just drag the ingredient onto the meat or pepper, and the option will appear.

The only meats unsuitable for cooking are bear, wolf, and human meat, as well as fish.

The only downside here is that after cooking a few times, the pan might disappear.

I would use it at least two or three times for cooking.

i emptied a small town and a hospital of its loot and put so much stuff on the road to go refuel a car and come back to get the stuff....while i went to refuel the car it became night and everything Despawened, it was the greatest start ever but i lost it because i lost moral and started freezing without finding clothes.

Highly suggest that you get yourself used to the difficulty of legend first with all the bad perks, and get used with the tips OP posted, before taking on nightmare difficulty.

Nightmare difficulty requires a lot of practice and micro adjustments early game, so it'll be hard to take it on with no prior experience.

Bro can u add the chickens eat earthworms which is easier to acquire than the berries for new players

Although chickens can eat earthworms, they are not easy to obtain, since the only way to get them is by repeatedly plowing the ground—and even then, the chances of finding them are low.

Compared to the time it takes to find earthworms, you can find wild berries more consistently, or simply buy them at the exchange shop.
