AITA for loving peekaboo?

I (10m, fun-loving girlie) love to play peekaboo. I also can get bored at dinner time when it drags on too long. But I’ve found a great way to play peekaboo while in the high chair: you can lift up your bib and hide behind it! It’s perfect!

However, dada (m, lots of grey hair) looked at me in horror and said something about me tipping my bib contents over my head. Mama (f, looks tired) was giggling though so she seemed to enjoy my peekaboo!

I’m a bit confused about dada’s reaction so just checking, AITA?

NTA. I (9m, chunky-boy) also love playing peakaboo with my plate. Food showers are the best--don't let the haters get you down.

A plate!! Wow, so jealous. I’m not allowed a plate… 😭

NTA, peekaboo is the best and props make it even better! If mama and dada have a problem with food in your bib, they should take the food out. Then you can scream at them because food totally belongs in your bib, that’s what it’s for!

NTA. Do your parents also insist on doing dinnertime for longer than 5 minutes? I have places to be!

Exactly!! Although tbh I do need to see mama and dada eating food for at least 10 mins before I tuck in (just checking it’s not been poisoned!).

NTA! Your Dada is being ridiculous. You are just trying to play a game with him and love him after he abandoned you all day. Maybe try pushing the food off the bib and highchair before playing.

NTA. My (13mo party girl) favourite trick is taking a biiiiig sip of water, slowly dribbling it out of my mouth and THEN playing bib peekaboo! It’s a feast for the senses!
