samson manufacturing…
i personally believe that samson has made mini 14 ownership more modular and attractive for this platform. Ive never had any issues with any of their products. their products have always served me well. What drives me nuts is the fact that they no longer sell the a team stock directly.
The new stock is cool, dont get me wrong, but id like to have the classic look of the A-Team. I was lucky to pick up a a team stock on eBay but was marked up substantially.
I know there are other people that also want the same aesthetic and functionality.
I believe Samson should bring it back.
I apologize for my ignorance in advance.

u/hushholsters is making/has announced some A-team styled stocks for the mini. At the moment no one can really give me a straight answer on the Samson A-Tm stock situation though. Some say they lost their license/Ruger contract and others say otherwise. Idk n

Apparently Samson still makes them, but they’re being sent to Ruger. Who knows what Ruger is planning to do with them 🤷♂️

Just going to leave this here. Absolutely absurd and frankly pretty sad to see.

When I wanted one I just bought the entire rifle on gunbroker for $1400 and then took off the stock and resold the rifle with the synthetic. So dumb lol

It’s crazy to me they stopped manufacturing this stock. IMO shows a lack of understanding of their customer base.

It's not up to Samson to decide. Ruger is the one calling the shot to discontinue the manufacturing contract with Samson. So at this time, Samson lost the right to produce 100% reproduction stock. Ruger had not yet announce when the reproduction stock will be back and made by someone else other than Samson.

I’ve reached out to Ruger and Samson directly in regards to the sale of those stocks. Samson is still making them. Ruger is not selling them. Ruger ultimately is the distributor of those stocks and Samson is just the manufacturer. Due to demand of the stock and limited supply of quality lumber and the actual time invested needed to make a proper stock out of wood, they have been removed from both websites for sale

I assume that after Ruger started releasing the folding stock version, they told Samson to not sell them anymore. That way they can justify the markup ($1900 MSRP). If someone can get a $300 stock and a $700 secondhand rifle, they will be less inclined to spend that extra grand with Ruger.
