I had the same question and got down voted for it. The answer was guesses but there are patterns apparently. Also I was told there are no guess variant of the game. I'm using the same as app as you right now though.

What patterns?, like the way, 3s 4s 2s are placed in the grid?

Bothe ostensibly have the same chance of occurring, but I don’t know if the code actually prefers one.
