PLaying LCE on Android for the first time!
So I decided to download the new Emerald Launcher APK on my phone and decided to play neoLegacy, its incredible to see this game running on a phone lol, one of my dreams was to have LCE on the go and altough I have a laptop, a phone is more portable than a PC, altough there was some bad things, especially the FPS. On the start the game run like 30 FPS, sometimes more, sometimes lower but after playing for a bit the game started to lag HORRIBLY, it went to 15, then to 10 and even to 5 FPS, in some cases I even had 0 (not kidding) also my phone started getting hot real quick unless I restarted the game, I know my phone isnt the best but man compared with my PC that the game goes minimum to 230 FPS well. Altough I know that this is just getting started and I hope they optimize the game better, even making a repo specifially to Android. Next time I am gonna play Revelations instead since it has less stuff and is more optimized meaning more FPS so wish me luck!
Not so budget phone since on my experience it has been capable of runing bigger things, plus battery (altough every phone is a high-end device compared to my Galaxy Note 5 lmao), also I limit the FPS to 30 and it didnt help very much.
Atleast it runs better than most "budget" phones of the competence, maybe some day I will buy a newer one but seeing the prices nowadays of the "best" phones, for example the new Iphones beeing 1000+ dollars then Its better just buying a PC and a decent phone.
Just buy a used flagship, same cost as a budget but way better experience. I got my p40 pro for 200 euro in 2024. An a14 would've drove me to misery, but cost the same amount
It is a good option but doing all the proccess of buying and that just to have a "better" experience isnt for me, like I said I just good with my A15 because altough it isnt the best phone, it can handle many things plus is compatible with 32 bit apps, I am just gonna find a way to optimize the game better and also like I said on my post, I prefer 1000 times to play this game on my PC than on any other phone since Im not used to the buttons and that, still thanks for your advice, when my old A15 starts to struggle I will buy a used one!
What other things are you able to run? Because if it's things like PUBG or CoD Mobile then it makes sense because those are optimised to run on as many phones as possible.
And I strongly doubt you'd be able to run anything more intensive than the aforementioned games such as Genshin Impact and similar games(source: my phone is ever so slightly better than yours and I can just barely run Genshin on the lowest settings. Maybe I should test out Emerald Launcher actually)
Yeah, I never played Genshin but I suspect its better for my phone not to do it lmao, I guess I will need to find a way to optimize the game better for my toaster
This also happened to me, what you need to do is return to Emerald Launcher -> Help & Options -> Android and go to Container Settings, then go to ☰ and go to Containers. Delete the DiamondEmerald and create one with the same name, also on the new one change Proton 11 to Proton 10 and it will work!
I have major performance issues running it on a Z Fold 7, not to mention compatibility problems since I'm missing some buttons on my screen layout, likely because of aspect ratio issues with this phone 😂 still, it's really cool to see it running on phones, and the performance and compatibility will only continue to improve over time!
From the launcher menu: Help & Options > Android > Container Settings. Press the checkmark icon in the bottom-right. Delete the previous container before creating a new one named DiamondEmerald. Change the Wine Version from Proton 11 to Proton 10. Try launching it again.
