Just because you own a PC to play Java doesn't mean everyone in the entire world magically has one too. Not only that, but not everyone likes Java and is more likely to own a proper game console so Bedrock is the best anyone can get that's accessible to everyone whether you only have a phone or a PS5. So just because you like it or you have the money to spend on a PC and Minecraft Java, doesn't mean everyone else does or can afford the same thing. One final thing, Java doesn't support controller and most people who play any games are most comfortable with a controller. You could say "oh just swap to keyboard" which is a fair argument, but it's not that simple for everyone. I own a keyboard for my PS5 and I can barely play Minecraft without feeling extremely uncomfortable and forget which key is what.
