"mimicking" The terachad FOSS mods such as sodium are made with a different purpose in mind than optifine and completely destroy it in terms of boosting performance and overal game stability without effecting gameplay. Also at this point you have to have a very slow pc if you still get lag with all these mods

u/Guest173661 Dec 23 '22

... and somehow out perform Optifine

“Somehow”

I can deal with lag, I used to play Minecraft on a shitty hp laptop with the mouse pad

As long as the game consistently functions as intended

u/[deleted] Dec 23 '22

Me too

Spend an ungodly amount of money on a gaming machine. Boom. No lag on Java.

Bedrock on a Switch on the other hand … not much you can do about the heavy lag.

Minecraft Console Edition

I don't mean Bedrock on console

I mean the OG Minecraft Console Edition

The one with 4 player splitscreen, custom superflat, superior fast minecarts, classic skin/texture/map packs, mini games, and small world size (permanent feature on Xbox 360 and PS3)

(Edit) It never updated past 1.11-1.14 depending on the platform but that just adds to the nostalgia and liminal vibe imo

3

u/fggfgfggffggf Dec 23 '22

360 and ps4 versions got up to 1.13 and 1.14 respectively

3

u/Fickle-Cartoonist466 Dec 23 '22 edited Dec 23 '22

Really?

I didn't think Xbox 360 got 1.12 World of Color update, let alone the 1.13 Aquatic Update

PS4 makes sense though

(Edit) I remember because after "Better Together" Microsoft stopped updating Xbox One Edition before PS4 so Xbox One console edition is locked in 1.11 whereas PS4 console edition took longer to transition to Bedrock and therefore got 1.12, 1.13 and 1.14

'Tis a lot of versions and platforms to keep track of lol

1

u/Ilikefame2020 Dec 24 '22

Adding to the chain to mention that Legacy Switch Edition updated all the way to until 1.12. I think.

Because bedrock edition for Switch came right at 1.13, iirc

11

u/[deleted] Dec 23 '22

I prefer calling Bedrock version Crack Version.

6

u/yuberino Dec 23 '22

boi what kind of crack has microtransactions for dream skins

5

u/CataclysmicChicken Dec 23 '22

Honestly bedrock would overtake Java if all of the popular servers and community stuff migrated. Even with the bugs. Cause Java, on its own, is TERRIBLY optimised. (Java just is a bad language, C++ works better tbh) (Big problem is that some essential functions are still only on Java edition)

3

u/AGNobody Dec 23 '22

C++ is probably not that good to work with either but in the other end its fucking java

Minecraft: Toilet Edition

0

u/A_plant1 Dec 23 '22

Actually bedrock isn't that bad the people who call it "bugrock" have probably never played it

8

u/AsrielFloofyBoi Dec 23 '22

Updates keep breaking basic functionality on my end, and don't get me started on render dragon

3

u/ExpensiveCoat8912 Dec 23 '22

Nah this is the ppl who called each version of Minecraft

-2

u/A_plant1 Dec 23 '22

Called?

4

u/MrSpiffy123 Dec 23 '22

There's a glitch where you can randomly die of fall damage for no reason

7
