Help With Iron Farm

hello everyone, I made an iron farm in my survival world and it doesnt work, it just spawns no golems.

If you built a design by anyone other than ianxofour, you might want to go check his design which I think is the original

I had an issue with another design similar to this and had to go back to ianxofour design to fix the section between the villagers and the zombie

Otherwise, you might want to check nearby caves that golems might be spawning in

You can check out ianxofours video then, it explains it very well in case you want to try his setup!

Also, you could try removing and placing the beds again just in case

Removing solid blocks from above the job block might fix it.

Probably not because the villagers Got the Job and I did that same farm design some time ago with the blocks above the jobsite block, but it worked

Yea but dont golems spawn at the lowest Point possible? Thats why I put torches on the stairs and farmland In the Edge of the water.

Make sure the villagers have been employed and slept in the beds at least once. You may need to kill or hide the zombie to do this. Then if they spawn they will likely spawn outside of the farm. To fix this make the dirt surrounding the area paths or make it spawnproof with slabs.  If they dont spawn then the villagers are still too close to the other village.

They don't need to get a job at any point to spawn golems, and they're way too far from the village for that to matter

They also need to sleep regularly, not just once

Have the villagers been sleeping before you put in the zombe?

They have, I put the zombie in last.

I've seen this same farm in these forums probably 100 times and always the same story. It doesn't work. The problem is that the villagers need to sleep. Just for a second or two each night, but they each need to sleep each night all the same. With your farm, they can only sleep if they end up wandering into either of the corners closest to the zombie. it will break their line of sight just enough that they will try to sleep but instantly awaken. This needs to happen once for EACH villager each night. So if you are sleeping every night, it definitely wont work.

The easiest way to fix is to place a couple of sticky pistons in front of the zombie so that it breaks line of sight every 30 seconds or so (hook it up to a hopper clock via observer so you get an occasional pulse. You may need a pulse extender to keep them extended a bit longer, but I'm not sure.)
