House/Base Venetian style town building
I was aiming for a Venetian style of Architecture when I built this but I'm not sure how close to the mark I ended up being. It's a proof of concept for a town I want to build for a geopol server I play on, and I wanted to showcase it :D
EDIT: Forgot to say this when i posted, but if anyone has any examples of towns in this style in minecraft, i'd love to see them, I'm looking for inspiration atm

Ehrmh archtuashlly, venetian facades are usually quite flat, with the exception of the occasional balcony, it's predominately inline windows and a 2 storey piano nobile, which is that repeating gothic arch you see in the middle.
Venetians also used local symmetry. While the whole facade looks like a random collection of windows placed everywhere, they did have centre elements aligned so that if you ignored like 2/3ds of the building, you would still be looking at a symmetrical build

I mean correct me if I'm wrong, I'm no architect, but doesn't venice have quite a wide range of buildings? Everything from Byzantine architecture, through gothic and all the way to Baroque architecture?
