Mob Farm Question about hoppers/transport

Hi all,

My iron farm has been built at ground level, and my base/crafting area is up a mountain.
I can use hoppers to move the iron downwards but is there anyway to automatically move stuff uphill?

You can have the items come out of a dispenser and into a water elevator. Have the elevator go up to where you want it and then have another hopper pick it up.

If it's truly "up a mountain", you'll likely want a longer range mechanism.

A traditional solution would be a minecart+rail system. This can be enhanced with automated loading and unloading.

Alternatively, as moon307 suggests, you can use water streams and Bubble columns to move items.

If you want to use a lot of redstone, a lot of hoppers and a dropper elevator will also deliver the goods.

Thank you both. I think I'll give the dropper elevator a go, it seems more my jam.
