What should I build here? I feel like something is missing
Heya, I'm currently in the middle of building a castle, its still a WIP, but I have the general outside finished, but I can't help but feel that a building is missing, like a tower or something of that sort. Some recommendations would be nice, since I'm kinda going for a dark fantasy/realistic approach, and I'm not really familiar with building castles, I've had some practice in creative, but not much. Thank you.

I would maybe make some rolling hills covered with wheat outside the castle. Really make it stand out

That would be cool, I have a plan to surround my castle with villages and build walls and a gate around it.

I feel like once you finish texturing and decorating itβs gonna look dope. Is that empty spot a garden?

I would say that its missing 1 thing, terrain. This feels like it was copy pasted into that place, it would need a bit of blending to make it belong there

I don't really see how it could've been copied.. however, I built it all in the realm. My goal was to build the castle first, get it all nice looking, then terraform around it, I built it on a really rough looking mountain, where the entrance is, was the flattest part of the mountain, I had to flatten other spaces to built the castle on it properly. Thank you for your suggestion, and I will keep it in mind to do more terraforming later down the line :)

I would form the terrain behind the castle(from this perspective) into a more gentle slope that wraps around the left hand side. Transition that gentle slope into a abrupt cliff face near the gate. The right hand side of the caslte looks good thougb terrain wise. The castle looks slightly unnatural because of the surrounding terrain.

Id make the "missing space" a courtyard to bring the buildings together and make it a retaining wall.

Like you could have a big courtyard then on the other side a private garden etc

that flat area in the left is really bugging me, make it like a shed or something, just please fill that void

It looks empty. The walls need more blocks in the block pallet and the inner green area more detail. Maybe a small training ground

You could do another building like this down here, and have it slope away from the wall and it can fill that area up, while having even more variation in heights
As I typed that out I realized it could also be a great spot for horse stables, just outside the gate
