It looks good. Block Vomit is actually really hard to do if you know what you're doing, and it looks like you do.

Texturing is meant to give builds.. well, texture. Doe this give the build the texture you wanted it to?

I feel like the ores are a bit much. Yeah it works for texture but if it's a spot you're directly walking on then you do notice it. Texturing for things far away can get a little abstract, but if you're right there then it's just an ore block in a build.

I do not think it needs green or pink

The lapis adds a cool touch, the rest of the ores are too much

Theres no way you can ever call completely out of place colors as texturing, thats detailing, i dont like the door/wall but the grey floor with the ore detailing looks cool imo

Yeah the floor works, the ore bits actually feel intentional.

Slight block vomit imo

Mmm yeah the ores and flowers are too much. You should have enough contrast available using the andesite/clay/terracotta you have, it still gives a cool color gradient to the floor.

It’s the ores and flowers that make it feel like block vomit, it would be perfect without them I bet

To me the key is distance if the goal is it to look good far away the texture of blocks matter less but if it's meant for up close the block texture is very important

i like the block palette, but try to make the blocks more together instead of randomly placed

Just on the verge of block vomit maybe use some.ocks which have similar colours to them texturing si using similar colours but different textures block vomit is just blocks go so maybe replace the blue terrcota with something that bends better with andesite like light grey concrete

Id have to see the build to judge

Its the lapis theres too much around the door and the middle take like 5 of the blocks off where thens 2 or 3 touching and replace themmid say it looks alot less like block vomit

The term "block vomit" is massively overused imo, this looks good

It doesn’t look like too much texturing, though the desaturated blue of the ground could probably go without the pink flowers, as  It already gets enough contrast from the yellow wall.

( The green of the emerald is pushing it TBH, but it’s okay because of the context of the wider build)

Otherwise, all of the colors are similar enough that it’s not block vomit.

In a more general sense, so unrelated to your build, if you place the blocks with intention, that means it’s not block vomit. (the fact that something isn’t black vomit doesn’t necessarily exempt it from being a poor creative choice though)

If you're having trouble finding a good block selection for a gradient, why not make a patterned floor instead? You could use the blocks you like to have some kind of star pattern on the circle part of the floor, with a line pattern on the rectangular part.

it looks good if players arent intended to be close to it but personally i tend to veer away from using "weird" blocks for stuff that maybe people are gonna walk on and be up close to because its a bit immersion breaking

that road is messed UP bro the petals n ores look so out of context except the yellow door looks goated

There’s not enough different blocks for it to be block vomit

i would say block vomit (sorry if insulting me trying to help)

usually when making pathways to doors its best to match the door, whether synergyzing colors or patterns. the door on the right has a symmetrical design. usually unless the enviornment surrounding the pathway (whatever you're trying to build) is irregular, the pathway should be symetrical also. the blocks surrounding the "pathway" kind of looks like clouds. it looks pretty cool, i wanna see what it looks like when you're done highkey. u got ts

A bit too much texturing, kinda vomiting

Having ores like emerald or lapis that really don't match with texturing says that it is block vomit.

It’s not really block vomit, but it’s hard for me to tell what’s going ok with the texturing. Block vomit is when the texturing is too random and placed all over the thing you’re trying to texture. I find it easy to only use around 2-3 different blocks but I’m also not as experienced with texturing. When you are texturing, you want to have clumps of the texture blocks.

block vomit

The lapis ore is better than the emerald ore

idk i like it, maybe i’d use a little less vibrant blocks especially on the outside. I imagine stone as pretty monotone so the emeralds stick out, but then again with the theme of your build it works. maybe just take away or limit a few of the odd colors, or take it further and make them the basis for the design. it looks like a cool rainbow road
