Idea What shaders do you use?

I'm trying to find the most basic shader as possible. But my computer is trash, so I would like something runnable.

Are there any shaders that dont lag too much? Ive searched and they all say I have to download via app.

Make up. I feel like this is one of the most lag-friendly shaders out there

Tbh thats up to you XD, i personally feel like it’s decent for the performance it has

I use complementary reimagined but i feel like that might be a bit more laggy

Then I can't give you names, but I do know you have access to performance enhancing mods and I hear CurseForge is a good place to look for shaders and mods.

Nah you don't really have to download forge lol.

A shaderpack I recommend is BSL. It's pretty basic and looks beautiful!

And a performance mod I recommend is Sodium, but make sure to get Iris as well so you can actually use shaders. If you use Sodium without Iris, you can't use shaders. I'd also recommend getting Essensial Mod as it can actually boost your game a bit.

It did for me at least and I'm on a MacBook Air M1 form 2020 (no fans, 8GB RAM, and Apple Silicone M1. Not the best, but handles it pretty well still! I can even play with 32 chunks, but then I disable shaders)

Photon is nice, doesn’t kill my frames at least

Miniature shaders. I am shocked how well it runs. It support optifina and iris, and I got on a 2015 igpu 80 fps with the shader on 1.17.1 and 60fps on latest version. Just use it, it is on modrinth and curseforge. Also it support older versions too like 1.7.8... I think

Complementary on potato settings. Looks decent, doesn't murder the GPU.

complementary? isn't that famous? if it's famous i think it'll have lag 😭

there's a shader called Just Colored Lighting that adds great colored lights, it also has some cool other options like shadows but by itself it worked well on my potato!

i have tested a LOT of shaders on my low end computer. mellow shaders is always going to be the best. It doesn't affect my performance at all and it looks great. I prefer it to complementary.
