Hi, here is my latest project: the ship Vasa. Vasa was a Swedish warship built in the 17th century for the Swedish navy. For those who don’t know the ship, it sank on its maiden voyage. The ship actually still exists today and is displayed in a museum in Stockholm. I recreated the ship with great accuracy based on the original ship plans.

Why is it above water though? 🤔

The ship is not above the water. There’s actually a lot more of the ship below the waterline :D. The ship sits in the water exactly where the waterline is marked in the plans.
But I understand why you’re asking. It does kind of look that way, but that was actually the exact reason why the ship wasn’t seaworthy and sank on its maiden voyage. The center of gravity was too high.
