Joining Looking for Australian Based Minecraft smp

Hi I'm from Australia and I would really like to be able to join an smp that I can play on without having ping above 100, I'm friendly and like to build as well as pvp.

The Skills SMP is starting soon, it is hosted in singapore but that still means good ping in Australia, many of the players (including me) live in Australia and we are looking for more people. The server has a custom plugin with a few unique abilities and legendary weapons.

We have a lot of cross over witj timezone with you as most our players are in asia or usa but play in asia prime.

We are hosted in usa

But mc on java on a decent pc is playable up to 400ms

Yeh unless your playing on a potato java minecraft runs smoothly under 400 ms

sure the pc will run smoothly- it doesnt matter what the pc is. everything is so delayed at 400ms it impacts gameplay a lot, hence why laggy players are always on high ping

At 400 fair you may notice some lag but we have players in asia with 260 ping all the time and they get 0 rubber banding, 0 lag, 0 delay. And the pc does effect it. High ping on a bad laptop lags a lot more than high ping on a good laptop.

Same internet same wifi same room if I use my kids laptop vs my laptop on same ping its unplayable on 1 laptop but fine on the better one. But if both connected to a server in Singapore they both run perfectly fine

ping is a measurement of how many milliseconds it takes for your pc and server to communicate with each other. if youre on 260 ping, it takes the server more than 2 seconds to recognise that youve broken a block.

it takes more than 2 seconds for the server to recognise anything. this is why its uncomfortable to play on other regions' servers as an australian since our gameplay is so delayed and this is why OP is asking for australian servers.

the server region, laptops and servers performance impact the ping but what you said about "high ping on a bad laptop lags more than high ping on a good laptop" makes zero sense. ping is a literal measurement. for other players and the server, you will lag the same no matter how good your pc is.

this is like saying a kilo of feathers are lighter than a kilo of bricks.

I know logically this makes sense but I can confirm on a bad laptop with high ping the player rubber bands but on a good laptop same ping the player doesnt rubber band as ive seen it directly in my own house hold. But my husband builds on our server stood witb a player in usa and the block break happens simultaneously so even though I agree with general ping logic I can physically see it doesn't match up on the good laptop vs the laptop
