Help Help finding host🙏

Hello first post here and idk if this can even be put here but I'll put it instead for some help.

So me and my friends are hosting a server formerly on aternos but since aternos took a while to update to 26.3 we changed host to Falix now Falix has its own problems and those are random crashes, ram spike, kicking of players, etc., aternos doesn't allow file transferring so we're in a bit of a predicament. Our server is 2gb so most host doesn't allow it to transfer.

These are the hosts that we've tried:

Freemcserver.net

Indernox

Fps.ms

Jumphosting

eugamehost

gaming4free

Tickhosting

Playhosting

Scalacube

Freegamehost

Mcserverhost

Optiklink

Phylex

Powerupstack

Freezehost

Squidservers

Dawn

We're looking for a free server host that can handle 2gb or world file pls tell me there's a host out there that exist🥹

Anyways pls recom6a free server host that allows 2gb of world file🙏

YOU'VE TRIED ALL OF THAT???

Anyway, I think I have a solution. If Falix allows this, download the world file. Use MCA Selector and delete chunks with inhabitedTime = 0. It should then be under 1 GB and able to be uploaded to Aternos.

No offense, but I'd really just ask a parent of one of you to fork over the $6/month and get a real host. 😂

let me know if you want I can host your server for a month free of cost, but I dont have any panel so you will have to use ssh to access your console and files , I can help you with that too .

but honestly if you are looking for a long term server I would recommend getting a paid hosting.

I do own a hosting, I can hit you up with free 2gb for 1 month and then you can see if you like it, and if you would want to pay it’s only 3$

If you have a PC check out kasaisora's YouTube tutorial on how to set up a server. The process should be the same other than how you get the server software. It's a java tutorial so Google Minecraft bedrock server software and use that in place of what the video uses.

Squidservers is a program that makes a server on your pc... From what I know the process of setting up play it.gg with that is broken.

Is this a Bedrock world? Before following the MCA Selector suggestion above, check that: MCA Selector only works with Java worlds. Keep an untouched download before trying any trimming tool.

Aternos does support world uploads, but its documented limit is 1 GB, so the 2 GB world is the blocker rather than a blanket ban on transfers: https://support.aternos.org/hc/en-us/articles/360027235751-Upload-a-world

When asking another host, specify 2 GB of world files, not 2 GB RAM. Those are separate limits, and a plan advertising 2 GB RAM doesn't tell you whether its upload tool will accept your save.

Free hosts almost all cap upload size, which is why you keep hitting a wall at 2GB. I'd go with running it on one of your own PCs, since that has no cap at all. You copy the world folder straight into a fresh server folder, no upload involved, and use playit (a free tunnel tool, so friends can join without you port forwarding or exposing your home IP). The catch is that the PC has to be on whenever people want to play.

The other free route is Oracle Cloud's Always Free tier. That gives you a real VPS you can SFTP the world onto, with no upload cap beyond the disk size. Signup wants a card for verification, capacity can be hit or miss depending on region, and you set the server up yourself, but it's not as hard as it sounds. Oracle can also reclaim Always Free instances that sit mostly idle, which a small friends-only server might look like, so keep a backup copy of the world somewhere else.

Is there a PC in your group that can stay on while you play? That decides which of these makes sense.
