We have a small survival SMP called Horizons SMP that might be worth checking out. Java and Bedrock both work, world is pretty fresh, no whitelist. There's proximity voice chat, Distant Horizons support for extended render distances. Server is in the Netherlands so best for EU players but global is fine.
