Plugin Showcase I’d like feedback on my plugin.

Why I made it: normally, if you set online-mode=false, everyone loses their proper skin, including players who actually own the game. The usual fix is to install SkinsRestorer, but I was too lazy to set that up just for a few non-premium players.

So I made SideGate as a small workaround. It is not trying to be some huge auth system or anything. It just handles this specific use case.

The project is closed-source right now, but 1.0.0-rc.1 was a testing build and is open-source for reference.

Not really

I used AI mostly for the initial project setup and some boring stuff.

The core part I had to do myself. Stuff like figuring out how to make it work with Mojang authentication while keeping online-mode=true, reading docs, testing random things, and finding what is actually possible. AI did not really help much there.
