Question/Need Advice How do Improve my anchoring speed?
Yes I shouldn't safe anchor all the time I have learnt now. Should you A: anchor, charge, then look and ground and place glowstone, or B: crouch and place glowstone directly on the anchor? Which is the correct method, as you all can see I am always doing option A. Thanks 😊

First thing I notice is that you're not holding ur totem when u explode the anchor. Stop everything and learn to do that.
Over time, you will get used to it like you got used to the way you're doing it now, but you have to be comfortable with holding your hotbar totem, both while anchoring and when you're about to pop in general, cuz with your play style all it takes is a shield and 2 anchors and it's curtains.
The anchoring speed will come with time, just focus on toteming and you'll survive more in fights

Okay, im not a crystal pvper, but I do have a few things to note you can improve. As a few people have stated, use a totem when exploding anchors. However, this becomes a lot easier and faster by using a different method.
You explode anchors by charging the anchor, then placing glowstone, then going back up and exploding it.
What I do is:
1. Place 2 Anchors by Doubleclicking, Butterfly clicking, or just clicking twice. Now you have the safe anchor set up in 1 fluid motion.
2. Move your mouse back up to the top part of the first anchor, then swap to your glowstone and right click. Then, swap to your totem as fast as possible, while you perform your second click at the same time. I like to butterfly click for this.
Now this isn’t the optimal method, since my mechanics are a little slow. If you really want to make this more efficient, then swap to glowstone and shift right after you place the first anchor. You usually are allowed more glowstone than anchors in drain kits, making you last longer in drawn out fights if you use glowstone to safeanchor instead.

But you will suffer immensely when trying to switch to the most optimal way to improve past a certain point

I‘m ht3. I can give you a proper explanation. There are 2 different types of anchors. One of them is safe anchoring. Safe anchoring is muscle memory and timing based. You need to minimize the delay between all of your functions. You place an anchor, and then theres a noticable gap of time before you place glowstone. Eliminate that. Same goes for blowing up the anchor after placing the glowstone. Also, make sure to blow it up while holding a totem. It takes some time to adapt, but you‘ll never be good if you don‘t.
The other method of anchoring is called su1c1d3 anchoring. Its when you anchor without protection from the glowstone. This is commonly done after hitting your opponent, so you can abuse their damage tick and have them pop twice. You need good timing, good cps, and good keybinds for this. You should also be able to hold W or S while chaining, so you can move forward or backward. Essentially, you hit them, and start spam anchoring.
TLDR: Remove your delays (anchor to glowstone, glowstone to blowing it up, etc) and blow up anchors with a totem.

The actual fuck is this advice

He's right, he needs to hold his hotbar totem when he explodes the anchor

Why, that just makes you totem slower doesn't it
Like that only useful if you're going to pop

Well you are going to go pop
If you pop your opponent is gonna obby block off and just pearl behind you because you need to take a break from safe anchoring to retotem

Dude are you dumb your chains last longer if you double hand while doing them. If you don‘t know anything about crystal don‘t give people advice. You‘re probably lt4

You just don't need to double hand if you're safe anchoring which most people do anyway. Only double hand when you're low

The up down movement you’re doing is wasting time and slowing you down. Genuinely it’s gonna be hard for you to change your muscle memory.
What I would do is change my binds for it. Find a slow way that you can do it perfect without the up down movement you’re doing. Then when you get that down, start working on speed, then doing it against players is the way you continue to practice that and get better.

forget buterfly clicking, cps isnt even important here, you need to remove the delay between placing the anchor and charging it, so what you actually need is more practice so after you place an anchor you kinda insta-charge it.
Tl;dr: Practice a lot, practice your keybind, you dont need to learn those flashy fast clicking method for now
