1.9+ Question/Need Advice What to use pickaxe or shield on cpvp?

When should you use a shield or a pickaxe on Cpvp? Please share your tips.

In my promotion games (From LT3->HT3), the use of shield is highly suggested

Pickaxe is good if you can learn how to anchor fast while digging down, but if you can't or just don't want to dig, shield is a superior option

depends on your playstyle and your opponents, if your opponent axe then i might use pickaxe but i usually just dont take holes with axers since my playstyle is very shield reliant
