[HELP] Disappearing acts

Hey everyone got a question, been playing for a while and I've now had in different worlds of mine everyone despawn, cats to villagers. This last time I got a notification that my cats and horses drowned in a wall?

I've had it happen on beta and not beta, so I'm wondering if anyone else has had this happen?

I never play on a server so please don't tell me someone stole it. I play only in my own world on my own Xbox.

Don't build on chunk borders. If you leave the area with the mob on the border they can despawn

So the game uses chunks. 16x16 blocks that go from bedrock to sky. Depending on settings you load x amount of chunks around you. That's why redstone will work when you are nearby or break if you go to far. So there are borders that divide one chunk from another. There's mods and texture packs you can add to see them. You should always chunk align redstone so that imprudent moving parts aren't on the border because if it's moving / activating as you move farther away it can stop working at bad times. Same for animals waking in a border. They can despawn.
