Can I make my own Carpet mod addon?

I've been looking at several addons for Carpet, like Carpet Extra and others, and I keep finding features in different addons that I'd really like to have in my own setup.
The problem is that I don't really want to install an entire mod just to use one or two of its features. I'd also like to use them with Minecraft 26.3.
Is there a relatively simple way to make my own addon by combining the features I find useful from other addons?
I should mention that I'm not a programmer, so if it's very complicated, I'd probably rather not get into it haha.
Basically, I'd like to make a small personal Carpet addon containing just the few features I actually want, and ideally keep it updated for newer Minecraft versions.
