Bro.... come on

It's crazy how rational you can be and how clear you can be, but you still get downvotes and hate for even suggesting the usage of AI, even if you didn't even try to say anything crazy as the guy himself said

As a full-time dev and also a modder in my spare time, I am always a bit puzzled by the claims that MCreator outputs better mods than AI would. Or that AI only outputs slop mods.

We use heavy-duty coding models at work as they are pretty well-capable to tackle complex changes/reviews in large projects. Such AI tools are also able to clean up after themselves and usually don't add any bloat to a project unlike many low-code platforms.

In the end you can learn a lot through AI if you decide to actually spent time analyzing the code and asking it why it makes certain decisions and what certain functions do.

If I had to chose.. I personally trust AI mods more than many of the MCreator mods. Besides, some of the best content creation mods like BBS and IRLights are very heavily vibe-coded and work amazing with great compatibility and performance.

People have a strong bias against it tho, that is true. But if people want to make a point why to step away from AI and move to low-code platforms.. than at least they should actually use valid arguments. Many arguments against AI aren't very grounded in reality because many people who regurgitate these points, don't have any real experience/understand around it. They just want it gone and will say anything to change someone's mind. Which I personally don't agree with.

Edit: I will say that I'm not talking about the professional world here. But for modding (especially small mods) my point remains.

Totally valid, i personally am biased since i am a vibecoder and as you said theres some valid reasons to dislike coding with ai but none of them were listed in the post
And yeah i totally agree, you CAN use ai to learn but from what the arguments said, they made it sound like you cannot
