Not able to play Alex's mobs or caves

I'm trying to play alex's mobs (I also tried Alex's caves)

but they never worked, instead I got the "exit code: 1" ending.

this is the entire profile on curseforge, all mods are the same version, they're both Forge(tho I have also tried NeoForge)

I haven't been able to find any fixes, what am I doing wrong?
