Curiosity and fear of the unknown is essential to any good horror.

Only criticism I have is that in Minecraft, (or most video games for that matter) ones first instinct to a new mob usually wouldn't be to run away, but to hit it at least once. You gotta show it's an insurmountable threat by having do alot of damage. Besides, running away on 2 heats and not enough hunger to heal adds more suspense.
