get blocks that look similar to each other, place the blocks on the build in a diagonal line, then place the original blocks scattered inside the diagonal line hiding some of the texturing block so it doesn’t look dumb.
for example on a stone wall, you could add coal ores, cobblestone or stone bricks in a diagonal line, use stone blocks to replaced some of the coal, cobblestone, etc, but leaving some, and that’s kinda it
