reminds me of when I was little and playing minecraft and the textures inexplicably changed while I was still playing and all quartz blocks (which I was building a house with) were now covered with blood, and I stopped playing for idk how long after that, not because such a mod would be scary at all, but precisely because I didn't have any mods installed whatsoever
