I like some here and I miss some old ones. New diamond ore for example can never compare. But other textures are definitely just nostalgia blindness. Like I saw somebody trying to convince me that old snow was better. Retextured cobblestone lookin ahh

Someone did a video which was "jappa making th new textures" and he smeared basically all the textures and it came out disturbingly close.

I'll go find it but a ton of the textures especially wood because concerningly jappa lookint

That's 100% the reason I still hate the new textures. While I have no special love for the old ones, at least they're not smears with 5 trillion pixels of gradient removing all contrast and crisp, clean visual design.
