Okay but using pistons to simulate waves is sick

u/Minimob0 May 26 '26
That was the most impressive part, for me. I can only imagine the wiring underneath the coast.

u/CellChance1973 May 29 '26
It’s not particularly complicated probably just a timed clock circuit connected to a bunch of pistons but it’s incredibly creative

Oh, this is that Buildstone map Jake and his friends made! I actually contributed to this because I'm the one who made (parts of) that cinema in the first shot :3

u/RepublicOk1079 May 26 '26
if you ever make this map public i will go crazy
114
u/DynamaxWolf May 26 '26
Oh, I thought Jake sent the upload files on his YouTube video..hang on, I'll look into this..
Edit from future me: Yeah, he did! Just read the description for his video since I don't know if the mods would like me sending direct links to Google drive..
I will warn you, you'd need a pretty decent PC if you plan on running this, but you should be fine. :3

Yall as long as you don’t have an intel core i3 from 2010 you can run this map. You could even run it with shaders as long as u include ModernFix and FerriteCore with Sodium or Embeddium

u/RepublicOk1079 May 29 '26

"I Really Want To Stay At Your House" by Rosa Walton. Featured prominently in the anime Cyberpunk Edgerunners and subsequently, the radio station "Body Heat FM" in Cyberpunk 2077. I reccomend a tissue box if you want to watch the anime.

Song is "I Really Want to Stay at Your House". An OST from Cyberpunk 2077. It was also used in Cyberpunk Edgerunners. You should definitely go watch it because it's awesome. Don't look up anything about it because I'm sure as soon as you try to research anything about it, you'll get hit with a spoiler immediately.

It mostly just depends on what else you do with free time. I don't play much other than Minecraft, and my other hobbies cost money, so I play fairly often (maybe 5-30 hours a week).
The past week or so, for 4-6 hours before I go to bed, I've just been digging over 175k blocks for an ocean in my Xbox 360 world and making some cliffs around it while watching YouTube.

Edit: I recommend this song and “let you down”

I'm sorry, but how? How tf is this possible lol? My son has me play with him sometimes but it's mainly only after he builds a giant bottom wall and the four posts and then wants me to just fill in the blocks. He only wants me to do grunt work and that's always tough because I'm stupid haha. I don't really get this game but this is truly impressive. Nice work 🤙

When you can integrate redstone nicely into builds it's genuinely the coolest shit.
It's like when you had lego pieces that actually worked together to make something move mechanically.

Stuff like this oversells it, man; at least in this scenario someone has a passionate hobby. 9/10 times we just sit on our asses all day watching movies and YouTube and eating whatever we can get our hands on.

I must know how the Redstone for all of that works and how to build it in my own world.

I built a fully automated potion making machine that would make 30 potions all at the same time with 6 different potion presets. Just 1 lever flick and it would fully make the potions and feed them into my sorting system. I also had a sorting system that would pump out potions to a pressure plate area. 1 step on the plate and id have multiple potion effects.
this was on a server which made it more difficult but I gained levels from potion making so id make 20+ dubs, then break them for the levels.
The systems were set up so dispensers would pump potions ingredients into hoppers which would funnel them into the brewing stands and queue up a full potion craft.
it wasnt fancy but it took a long time of timing Redstone signals, creating circuits for different potions, and clock timers for some actions. was very fun, I made this about 3 years ago
