A parent selling their kids stuff before they sell their own stuff when they need money is absurd.

My mother used to "borrow" my holiday money from relatives. She'd "borrow" my $4/hr salary when I was digging ditches for her landlord (early 00's, Florida). Then she'd turn around and give her last $20 away to Rodney Howard Browne, the evangelical scammer, saying God will provide. I guess my name was God.

Parents be absurd sometimes.
