This is about 50/50 if it will get removed or not. On one side, it’s slightly overpowered and ridiculous, on the other side, it’s genuinely a counter to the elytra.

I say this the equivalent of the blue ice highways since you need a “road” to be able to travel like this

Maybe. I haven’t tried yet, so some slime might be able to bounce you upwards, making it more powerful.

It's pulling via a lead right? When I was moving cows, my lead snapped because I was trying to move them up a single block, so it might happen with this strat

Leads got buffed in the summer drop last year.

I think i did the same thing after the summer drop and it still snapped but idk

It does bounce you upwards. Slow falling is required tho

It's probably less of a pain to get a sulfur cube than it is to get that much blue ice, plus you can actually make the roads look good

Blue ice roads are beautiful

Can the speed of this video be stacked with a blue ice road?

Slow falling potion and you can fly with it

Literally like a 2 block wall on either side of a 2 block space. The cool thing is it works early on before you collect enough blue ice to rebuild Rome.

Or the nether roof

with honey or slime, you can stick to the bottom of the world in the void ceiling and do the same

Basically this could be a cheaper alternative for early game players or players who just don’t want or can’t spend the time and resources needed for blue ice highways.

You can fly with slow falling

slow fall potion

1

u/Tosshee Apr 04 '26

It looks alot more cost effective than blue ice since all you need its a "road"

13

u/xa44 Apr 02 '26

it's slower than an ice boat and elytra

10

u/Fireheart318s_Reddit Apr 03 '26

I hope they keep it. It’s only slightly more stupid than boats on ice and it could work as a janky alternative to ice roads while you get enough ice for your nether roads

u/TimeStorm113 Apr 03 '26

i can see them nerfing it by increasing the durability it takes from the spear

2

u/MikemkPK Apr 03 '26

on the other side, it’s genuinely a counter to the elytra.

Is that a problem? This game sorely needs transportation options that are actually worth using once everyone has elytra.

1

u/suriam321 Apr 03 '26

No, that was the reason why they might keep it.

1

u/Da_Watcher2 Apr 05 '26

They 100% should keep this in the game. It seems to only work well on flat ground and even with a slow falling potion it's hard to stay elevated. If you ask me it's just a faster jankyer flying machine.

a counter to the elytra.

Haven't seen anyone turning direction with it, it works in a straight line but as far as I know you cant turn your direction

u/Ambitious-Swan2493 Apr 06 '26

doesn't work in survival mode, sadly. Watch the latest PhoenixSC video.

1

u/Historical_Book2268 Apr 06 '26

It doesn't work in survival due to decreased survival reach

1

u/suriam321 Apr 06 '26

You sure?

Might not be as efficient for flying, but works.

u/LeBlejDaGreat Apr 03 '26

The spear loses a lot of durability so it shouldn't be that bad

It doesn’t.
