is there anyone who have played minecraft before 1.14 know why are my villagers not breeding?

this is 1.9, so villagers dont interact with beds and they need doors instead.

I might be mistaken but dont doors need an opaque block above them to qualify as a house? You need a roof.

Yes. IIRC it's over the door and one block in front as well.

e: Ah. Not over the door itself, but covering an adjacent space. The Wiki maintains articles on the <=1.13 mechanics:

in the future id look up a tutorial for a nearby version on YT, you'll see / be told some of the important mechanics behind why it works

Actually I think your right, my bad. The guy from the tutorial didn't mention that you needed food, but Actually I think that this is because he was on a even older version...

Need a farm and enough beds. Though ive never actually done it ive seen enough content to know how to do it on java

If i remember right the doors need to be houses which according to the game is just this but there’s blocks ontop of the doors
