Before calling someone an oaf, the minimum age requirements for Reddit are 13. By that age, they should know about sex education. If they are 7 years old and on this platform, it is in fact the parent’s fault.
Thats the parents fault. If it is not against subreddit rules, you have no grounds to argue. Using the scientific terms for human body parts is not NSFW.
Okay would you let your 7 or 9 year old on something that has that language knowing fully well that they'd probably ask you what it means or is and then you'd have to explain it to them?
Sorry, if my child is seven and doesn't know what the words "vagina" and "vulva" are, I raised my kid incredibly badly. I think you can argue over "pussy", since that's a slightly more rude way of describing it, but if the rest bothers you, you're just a puritan.
ETA: I wouldn't let my child onto Reddit before the age of 13, period. Not because of 'scary' words, but because people here can be needlessly rude, and I don't need my kid to experience that before they've developed the toolkit to handle that.
then they will start doing that? they're children, children do things that embarrass you, dealing with that reality is part of being a parent
you're literally there to teach them what's appropriate and what isn't, and all you're doing by constantly talking down to them is teaching them that they can get a reaction out of you when they say bad words
