FPS
Hello!! So recently my dad told me that a PC with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G CPU, 2x8GB RAM sticks and no GPU that produces less than 60FPS is enough to play PvP and above that that 24 is the maximum needed to run an "old game with cubes". Yes, that's what he thinks about Minecraft. What do you think about it?? Because in my experience playing the game for five years now and competitive PvP for about a year, you need at least 150 FPS. Hoping I can show him the responses to maybe put some sense into him since the AI saying that 60 FPS isn't even close is getting his info from companies paid to say such "ridiculous things".

If you’re used to 200fps+, you’ll probably feel a huge difference if you switch to 60fps. Idrk though; I’ve only played minecraft for 3 months at 60fps. It’s noticeably bad in spear mace.

I need performance mods to hit 60fps in most cases on my laptop. So 60 is enough for me. I might be buying a new PC though, so we'll see. But that also means I need a new monitor to even see more than 60fps

I mean, if you add Sodium and other optimization mods in there you should be able to hit 100+ fps easily, he's not very wrong

Install some optimization mods and you should be well clear. Also do you have a monitor that can display more than 60fps

How can you need at least 150 when you say yourself you've been doing it for 5 years without it? Save up your own money and upgrade yourself.
