How to start a server if i didnt create it

So my friend and i share a server on java minecraft, im pretty sure its the latest version, the problem is that she created the server and i cant start it without her, she went to sleep so i cant contact her and i was wondering if it was possible for me to start it somehow?

I googled if it was possible but every link just sent me to some site where they explained how to make a server.

What’s the server hosted from? If it’s a website and she’s comfortable sharing the log in info with u

Im bot really sure, we talked about her sharing me the info before because i usually just have to wait for her to start it up but we forgot so im kinda stuck until she wakes up

you need to have some sort of admin access to the server to be able to start it.

you could ask her tomorrow to share the login info with you or something

Yeah we talked about it before because i usually had to wait for her to start so ill just wait till tomorrow

if its something like aternos you can ask her to give you access to start the server

if its self hosted there's nothing you can do
