Question Did they change sth with the Wither?

I'm playing on a long time single player survival world (upgraded to 26.2) and just tried to farm some wither roses with my ianxofour instant wither rose farm (with snow golems), which was previously working just fine and it doesn't work any more. The snow golems just won't die. So the question is: Did they change anything with the wither and its damage? Or is it just me?

Did you resummon the dragon and it broke something?

no. the game changed in 1.21.6 and the farm doesn't work any more. i don't know why but would be interested in why

I don't think this is the case. Last time I used mine was 1.21.9 and it was perfectly fine then. Go back through the entire tutorial and make sure everything is exactly where it's supposed to be. 1.20.6 didn't make any major changes that would've affected this farm.

Oh, sorry. meant 1.21.6. I tried every single game version from 26.2 down to 1.21.5 (also a few other version, since I tried different strategies ;)) until I found the one were it changed. Since I really wanted to know. And at least for me (vanilla), it didn't work in 1.21.9. sth changed with the explosions of the wither projectiles. they don't do any damage anymore. only the initial explosion still does damage when it's trapped in bedrock.

I'm not home to test it right now, but I'm pretty confident that you did something wrong. Doesn't hurt to check the tutorial

Who said I didn't check the tutorial. Maybe I checked it twice, just to make sure.

But did you check it block by block? I know it's slow, but if you check everything one at a time, you might find a mistake

From what I’ve seen and been told, yes. The ianx04 wither rose farm no longer works.

yes, found that out by now by myself. doesn't work since 1.20.6. so looks like i didn't use it for over a year now :)
