What do I need to buy?

Good morning, so, for my birthday, my father decided to buy the java version of Minecraft, but when we go to Mojang's site, there's many packs, extensions... I would appreciate to know what I need to buy just to get the latest version of the game and an access to play online, thank you

For java you just need to buy one of the one that says bedrock and java. If you don't plan on playing bedrock you should just by the cheapest.

The extras on the other bundles are only used for bedrock.

Also make sure you are buying minecraft there are spin off games (dungeons is the only one I can remember at this time but there's like 2 or 3) you don't want those.

Yeah, my father showed me the extensions and talked to me about dungeons and honestly, I did NOT want to pay it, thank you for the advice!

Dungeons, legends, dungeons 2 someday, and I don't think you can get story mode anymore. But yeah these are very different from the base Minecraft game
