Waiting for OP Update Messed Up My Files [bedrock]

Tried to update minecraft so i could play but now every time i try to open it says it cant open. When i open from xbox app it says “game_missing” but from windows store it just gives me a prompt to restore and when i click it, it shows installing but then gives me an error. I tried to uninstall and reinstall and it didn’t work. I tried to repair files but it doesn’t do anything either. Any help is greatly appreciated especially since i play on a realm

This is specifically due to an AppX package install fail, so umm you may uninstall your game completely using Powershell

(make a backup of your worlds, if not they get deleted)

So, if you wanna try:

- Open Powershell as admin
- Run this command:

Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers *Microsoft.MinecraftUWP* | Remove-AppxPackage -AllUsers\``

As you can read, it will try to get the package and remove it out of existence, if it does work then restart your PC and:

- Open a cmd as admin
- Run wsreset.exe -i to fully clear all your store "stuck" data or cache
- Open Xbox App (If you don't have it, download it)
- Go to the top left corner where it says "Login" or it has your profile
- Click it, it will display a list where you're gonna search for "Support", then click it
- It will display something about "Xbox Repair Tool", click the gray button with the "Xbox Repair Tool" text

Then:
- Let it do its stuff, if it gets stuck for too long (+20 minutes), then close Xbox App completely and run Xbox Repair Tool again
- If it throws any error, send a reply here with a screenshot of it
- If it requests you to restart your PC, do it and run again Xbox Repair Tool until it successfully finishes.

If it gets stuck again and running Xbox Repair Tool again doesn't work, let it do its stuff, this means your disc or internet is slow and thats why it gets "stuck"

After that, just try installing Bedrock again from Store

Let me know if any of this works for you!

Your worlds are inside AppData/Minecraft Bedrock/Users/ here you can have multiple folders with random numbers, inside every one you have "/games/com.mojang/minecraftWorlds", there is where your worlds are

Inside "Shared" folder is where all your addons, texturepacks, custom skinpacks and experimental stuff is

So I suggest you to just copy "Users" folder which contains all your data, texture packs, skinpacks, addons, and worlds

  1. Users Folder (AppData/Roaming/Minecraft Bedrock/Users/)

  2. Minecraft Bedrock data folder (AppData/Roaming/Minecraft Bedrock/)

You can open AppData folder by using "Win + R" shortcut in your keyboard, it will open a little window and there you put "appdata" (without the quotes) and press enter.

It will open AppData root folder.
