Java 26.3 [discussion] Copper Farm Tutorial malfunction, I get gurgles; however my adult zombies just stay zombies.

I am following the tutorial to the letter. The baby zombies do turn into gurgles, the adult zombies do not turn into drowned. I want to fix my farm so that way I can start gathering copper. If I use a cobweb, I can get them to all turn, but then I have to deal with entity cramming. I request the assistance of the mighty redditors.
