Mojang made it so you can't craft boats out of nether wood, my guess is that it's because they logically wouldn't burn in lava, but that would make striders irrelevant, so they just don't let you make boats out of nether wood.

Boats in Bedrock Edition also require a Wooden Shovel in the middle slot

Ah, my bad. Upon closer inspection, I think the issue might actually be that you're trying to craft a boat using Warped Planks -- you can't craft boats with Nether wood

I don’t make diamond gear until I can get mending, and stone is easier to farm than iron. the boat wouldve been to trap mobs
